What is it like to cruise on World Dream by Dream Cruises, Asia Pacific’s First Muslim-Friendly cruise? Read on to find out more!
Booking your first cruise trip can be extremely overwhelming. It may seem intimidating especially as a first-time cruiser as you might not know where to start. Planning, researching, and preparing for a cruise can be frustrating before you book for one.
We want you to experience the best of what cruising has to offer, which is why we created this guide which includes some things that you should know to make the most of your cruise holiday in 2021.
What is a Cruise to Nowhere?
A cruise to nowhere onboard World Dream is not very different from your regular cruise except that there isn’t any port of call. The World Dream cruise ship will be cruising to the Malacca strait and part of the South China Sea, and you return without visiting other countries.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR CRUISE
Ensure that your passport has at least 6 months validity from the end of your desired cruise.
Guests are responsible for identifying and obtaining all required travel documents before departure. Should guests fail to produce such documentation at embarkation, they may be denied from boarding with no refund or compensation provided.
The minimum age that is allowed onboard is 6 months. Meanwhile, we encourage our senior guests to travel accompanied by family during the cruise.
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult, parent, or legal guardian who is 18 and above. We do not offer any Guardian Consent Form for those who are not travelling with parents/ legal guardians.
One adult/ guardian/ teacher who is 18 and above can escort up to 3 children (minors 17 and below), provided they carry authorization from the parents and/or certified caregiver. At least one adult 18 and above must be in each stateroom.
Expectant guests are permitted to board only if pregnant for less than 24 weeks on the day of disembarkation. They agree to submit — on-demand and prior to embarkation — a physician’s valid document that:
- Verifies that the pregnancy is less than 24 completed weeks by disembarkation date, and —
- Certifies that guest is fit to travel. Failure to produce such document/s may result in the cancellation of the cruise reservation without refund, compensation, or payment depending on the timing of the cancellation as set forth in our Cancellation Policy.
Special Fare for Infants/Children
Special fares apply to infants and children, varying per cruise deal/ promotion (please check each promotion’s Terms & Conditions).
Dream Cruises charges a per person gratuity as part of their cruise offering. The gratuity will be charged onboard to guests’ stateroom folio at the end of the cruise when the guest settles their onboard expenses.
Gratuity policy is subject to change at any time.
Cruise Fare Inclusions
When you book your cruise with Dreamcation, your cruise fare will include port charges, taxes, and C19 test. These exclude gratuities, which can be added to your booking or paid onboard.
Your booking comes inclusive of:
- Your choice of comfortable accommodation
- Sumptuous meals at inclusive restaurants
- World-class entertainment
- Access to beautifully designed leisure facilities
To enjoy as many facilities as possible, we recommend that you plan strategically which areas of the ship to visit according to your schedule and each amenity’s operating hours. You can book activities, events, and venues at the Service Counter once onboard.

The Pre-Boarding Process
Most of us might have already heard the mixed reviews regarding guests having to go through a stringent COVID-19 Antigen Rapid (ART) Test as part of the pre-boarding process.
But don’t worry, the Antigen Rapid Test (ART) is much more comfortable than the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Test. These swabs are shallower and less intrusive than the swabs taken for PCR, which means you will only feel a tickle at your nasal cavity. The whole process will take approximately 15 – 45 minutes including test results.
After receiving your ART result, you will proceed to the check-in area to collect your key card and TRACEY (this is used for safe management measures and contact tracing purpose). This must always be with you at all times!
